Summer is here! Pick a summer job where you can be outdoors, earn cash and make a difference. Come join our team at the YMCA of Greater Erie. Are you creative, energetic and fun-loving? Do you love working with kids and watching them reach their full potential? We have several positions working with kids. Flexible hours, few nights or weekends. Free Y membership with 5 hours per week.

Create a safe swimming environment and develop your leadership skills. Must be at least 15 years of age and have, or be willing to obtain, a Lifeguard, First Aid and CPR certifications. 

Not certified? Class begins May 16. Participants must successfully complete a pre-req swim prior to registration. Register today!

Get certified at no cost! 

Teach children and adults water safety skills and stroke development. Must be at least 16 years of age and have, or are willing to obtain, Swim Instructor, First Aid and CPR certifications.

Summer and Camps go hand-in-hand. Use your creativity to lead group activities in a safe environment. Must be at least 18 years of age. 

Spend your summer in one of Erie’s beautiful parks providing a safe place and group games and activities for neighborhood children. Must be at least 16 years.

Summer can be an anxious time for kids living with food insecurity. Serve and/or prepare free healthy meals to kids in community-based sites throughout Erie County. Must be at least 14 years of age.

 

Officiate various sports activities and ensure fair play and adherence to rules during games and competitions. Ideal candidates possess a strong understanding of sports rules and regulations, excellent decision-making skills, and the ability to maintain impartiality.
